Mission Statement

EMT Utah Volunteer Corps has a mission to lend the expertise, training and knowledge of professional First Responders to assist the larger community in being prepared for natural disasters or personal emergencies.

Focusing on helping those who help, our Global Medic Assist program sends medics along on non-medical humanitarian expeditions to wild and extreme locations where access to immediate medical care is non-existent or far away. This ‘9-1-1 in back pack’ provides medical support, triage, and risk management to teams of humanitarians so they can accomplish their mission.

The best way to be ready for a disaster is to prepare for one. We encourage anyone to volunteer to act as ‘victim’s for a myriad of disaster drill planning that take place nearly every week in Utah. From school shootings to airport disaster, terrorism, massive accidents, etc. our volunteers help create real life like scenarios which help responders prepare for the real deal.

Any mass event needs back up medical care on sight. It’s the law and it’s a good one. Our Stand-By First Aid stations provide this essential service for races, fairs, conventions, camping events, concerts, etc. Our goal is to prevent injury or accident and to treat if one occurs.
